Hey holiday weight- not this year... not this time!

Here we are in October.  Pumpkin Spice everything is in all its glory…everywhere.  The halloween candy sales are everywhere. Sugar. Sugar. Sugar. YIKES!


So many women have 3 sizes of clothes in the closet.  We have our “skinny” clothes and our “fat” clothes and eveything in between.  Is there a pile of clothes tossed to the side of your closet floor because you keep trying on outfits which don’t fit?  Let’s see if we can stop the madness!  There are steps you can take to help minimize or even avoid the holiday weight gain:

  • Drink a full glass of water before every snack and meal
  • Eat an apple every day for added fiber
  • Eat dark chocolate – 70%
  • Add more veggies to your plate
  • Take a walk after dinner
  • Add one more hour of exercise to your current schedule

The best way to really avoid the Halloween and pending Holiday weight gain is to simply keep doing what you’ve been doing all year!  This is NOT the time to let yourself go.  You know as well as I do, new year’s resolutions don’t work so stop putting off what you know will help you feel good, feel strong, and put you ahead of the rest of the pack!
