Personal Training is a very personal relationship. Each client who comes to me looking for help has a different reason to use a trainer. The #1 reason is ACCOUNTABILITY! When you make an appointment, I will make sure you show up – whether that’s a text message, FB post, a quick call, or simply your own inegrity to keep an appointment there are several ways to get you in the door regardless of the time of day. For some, training with me gives them new ideas to use during their regular routine (I come up with some very unique moves!). For others, just getting over the fear of getting started is a powerful reason to hire me. I believe the gym / studio should be a safe place for all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. I love working with people who have experienced “gymtimidation” because I feel as thought I have a personal obligation to help people push past those fears. Every body is unique and therefore every program should be designed for the individual. One-on-One training provides focused attention to your needs. If you are new to using a personal trainer, this is a great way to get to know how to use equipment, how to read what your body is telling you, and ensure you have proper form and technique to prevent injury. If you like having personal attention so you can learn how to push harder or even learn some new exercises, One-on-One training is the perfect option for you.
Have a gym BFF or Swolemate? GREAT! I love using partner workouts! Training two people together is a ton of fun for me and many of my clients like the low-level competition it brings out. Partner training can be very effective – especially if the other person is your support system. There’s something to be said for commisurating in pain together and then reminding one another of how much fun you had. For each person (limit 4), the hourly rate is dropped by 20%! Pretty great deal if you ask me.
